Worklenz v2.4.2 ships a centralized Time Entries page for logging time across tasks in one place, a timeline-based scheduling tool for visualizing team capacity, a Links tab for tracking external resources on a project, in-app QR codes for mobile app discovery, and localized pricing on upgrade and checkout screens. It also includes 4 targeted improvements and 38 fixes spanning Reports, Task List, Client Portal, and member permissions.

Features

Time Tracking

  • Centralized Time Entries page
    A single page lists tasks due today and lets you log time against any of them without opening each task drawer separately. It supports search, filters by project and team, grouped entries per task, and a quick-log option from the nav bar timer icon.
    How to use:
    1. Open Time Entries from the top navigation
    2. Search by task name or ID, or filter by Overdue, No logged time, project, or team
    3. Click "Log time for a task" at the bottom of the list, pick a project and task, and enter the hours

Scheduling

  • Scheduling tool
    A timeline view shows task assignments across team members with drag-and-drop rescheduling, capacity indicators, and visual warnings when someone is overallocated.
    How to use:
    1. Open Scheduling from the main navigation
    2. View task assignments and capacity across the team timeline
    3. Drag a task bar to reschedule it, or filter by date range, team, or project

Projects

  • Links tab for external resources
    A "Links" tab next to the project Files tab tracks external URLs such as SharePoint, Google Drive, or Confluence links without uploading a file. URLs added in task descriptions or comments are detected automatically and tagged with the task they came from.
    How to use:
    1. Open a project, go to Files, and switch to the Links tab
    2. Click "Add link" and enter a title, URL, and optional description
    3. Click a link to open it in a new tab. Auto-detected links open the source task instead

Mobile App

  • Mobile app discovery via QR codes
    A "Get mobile app" option in the profile dropdown and Settings opens a QR code modal for downloading the iOS and Android apps. New users also see a one-time banner on first login.
    How to use:
    1. Open the profile dropdown and click "Get mobile app"
    2. Scan the QR code for your platform, or tap the App Store or Google Play badge
    3. New users can also use the "View QR codes" button on the first-login banner

Improvements

Finance

  • Invoice Currency dropdown now includes all currencies available in the Finance module, including NPR (Nepalese Rupee)

Task List

  • Copied task links are now shortened for easier sharing via email or chat
  • Clicking anywhere on an attachment card opens the preview, not just the Eye icon

Project Updates

  • Enter now sends a message in Project Updates and task drawer comments; Shift+Enter inserts a new line, with a hint shown below the input

Task List & Task Drawer

  • Fixed "Add subtask" button styled identically to a subtask row, making it hard to tell apart from existing items
  • Fixed double-clicking the Recurring radio button in the task drawer triggering a false permission error
  • Fixed phase reordering in Roadmap not reflecting in the Task List without a manual refresh
  • Fixed edited hyperlink URLs in task descriptions not saving the new destination
  • Fixed real-time updates not syncing to other project members without a page refresh
  • Fixed intermittent crash when submitting a time log entry
  • Fixed the inline task timer not syncing when the timer was started or stopped from the nav bar
  • Fixed the "Added By" column not updating for links added via task comments or descriptions

Reports

  • Fixed "See All" buttons unresponsive in Insights task sections
  • Fixed Time Logging play and Export to Excel buttons unresponsive in the Reports task drawer
  • Fixed Copy Link and Delete Task actions unresponsive in the Reports task drawer
  • Fixed the Activity Log tab showing only a "created the task" fallback instead of full task history
  • Fixed inconsistent column backgrounds in the Reports Projects table in dark mode
  • Fixed missing tooltips for some member avatars in Reports
  • Fixed navigation links not responding when the Reports sidebar is collapsed

  • Fixed "Items Per Page" selection not updating the Project Templates list
  • Fixed project pagination not responding on the first click after a page refresh
  • Fixed clicking Create from Budget Settings failing to create the project while still enabling currency settings

Members & Permissions

  • Fixed Member-role users being logged out when navigating between tabs in a project
  • Fixed Member-role users being logged out when clicking the Rate Card edit icon
  • Fixed Member-role users being logged out when clicking Create Rate Card
  • Fixed Member-role users being logged out when clicking a Rate Card name

Settings

  • Fixed a false "Configuration Updated" success message appearing when saving Billing Configuration without changes

Admin Center

  • Fixed the Admin Center sidebar scrolling out of view instead of staying sticky

Workload

  • Fixed cramped, unformatted tooltip text on Workload cards for Team Members, Total Workload, Average Utilization, and Critical Tasks

Home

  • Fixed Overdue tasks appearing under the No Due Date column until the page was refreshed

Insights

  • Fixed missing spaces in the Total Logged Hours tooltip

Time Entries

  • Fixed time-logged tasks not appearing under date filters such as Yesterday and Last Week based on when time was actually logged
  • Fixed yesterday's logged tasks appearing under the Today filter

Project Updates

  • Fixed clicking a tooltip on the second update opening the first update's tooltip instead

Roadmap & Scheduling

  • Fixed projects in the schedule list not being clickable
